Loan Boxes

Sutton Heritage’s Loan box scheme will support teachers in bringing their history lessons to life. The boxes will allow teachers and pupils to handle a combination of real collections items and replica objects and use these as a way of stimulating enquiry, improving questioning and deduction skills. Evidence shows that cross-curricular object-based arts and cultural learning improves attainment and cognitive abilities in primary school-aged pupils (Culture and Sport Evidence Programme, July 2010, pp.26-8).

We have three different loan boxes which are available to borrow at a cost of £30 per half term’s loan.
