Mental Health Support for Children

Children’s and young adult collections of both fiction and non-fiction ebooks can support mental health:  

From inspiring stories to helpful guides on mental health and wellbeing, you can access them all for free on Libby/Overdrive with your library card!

Reading is a powerful tool for boosting mental wellbeing – it encourages empathy, provides an escape, and helps manage stress. And don’t forget, you can also find a great selection of physical books in our branches, ready to be borrowed and enjoyed!

Reading Well for mental health: 

Reading Well for mental health provides helpful information and support for managing common mental health conditions, or dealing with difficult feelings and experiences. Some books also include personal stories from people who are living with or caring for someone with mental health needs.The books are available to borrow from your local library.
