Fri 30/01/2026

London Borough of Sutton Cultural Services are accepting applications from local theatre companies and theatre practitioners, to contribute to our Summer in Sutton 2026 School's Programme. We are looking for a company / practitioner(s) who can deliver a school's show, across several venues in the borough.

The show will be:

  • Aimed at school classes in Key Stage 2 (ages 7 - 11, years 3-6)
  • Delivered to groups of up to 120 children at a time
  • Delivered across three days in late June / early July, dates to be decided (three shows per day, during school hours)
  • Be based on, or inspired by a children's book (please seek relevant copyright if working from an existing book, or produce work outside of copyright restrictions)
  • Must encompass the theme of wellbeing in the production

We are currently accepting quotes for this work and are able to pay up to £3,000 for the commission.

Please can interested parties complete and send the attached application form to arts@sutton.gov.uk by Friday 27th February, along with a supporting statement (500-1000 words, or 5 minutes film or voice recording), telling us about your proposed show and how it speaks to the themes of wellbeing and reading for pleasure.
