Sutton Music Trust are delighted to let you know about a new project that is starting this summer at Wallington Library. We are now recruiting participants to take part in this fully funded project and need your help! You may have already heard from us before half-term; and if so, thank you for your attention.
Funded by the London Borough of Sutton My Neighbourhood Fund, Sutton Soundscapes is an inclusive music ensemble project, designed to engage 15 teenagers in Sutton with additional learning needs and/or disabilities.
The project is a weekly inclusive music ensemble for young people who have a passion for music but face barriers to participation, such as lack of access to specialist equipment, inclusive environments or expertise. Kindly note that participants must be accompanied by a family member, carer or support worker.
Adaptive musical instrument technology will be used in these sessions, as well as other musical instruments. Participants are also welcome to bring their own musical instrument if they already play!
Day: Thursday evenings (term time only)
Duration: 3 terms (30 sessions in total)
